John Whildin (sounds like Will-din) is a singer-songwriter blending rich studio arrangements with intimate acoustic roots.

A veteran of Chicago’s legendary indie-rock scene, John has spent decades crafting music alongside a collaborative circle of premier musicians. Having cut his teeth writing and performing in ensembles that featured future world-class touring players, his musical DNA is rooted deeply in the Midwest's rich songwriting heritage. After a deliberate chapter away from the city noise, he has returned to the studio with an evolved sonic identity that layers expansive, multi-instrumental tracks that retain the warmth and honesty of their acoustic beginnings.

Today, whether tracking fully arranged indie anthems in the studio with collaborative friends or performing stripped-down original sessions at his local acoustic residencies, John channels a lifetime of pedigree into a commanding new chapter of melody-driven music.
